Here are images from the red carpet, cast and crew interviews, screening, behind the scenes film, and Q&A of Moon Rabbit Media's - Soldier's Heart (2019) Short Film Sneak Peek.

The sneak peek was held at the Tybee Post Theater and had a sold out crowd. We also hosted a charity event for the Nine Line Foundation auctioning off props from the film, a custom Soldier’s Heart film slate designed by Nola Slates, as well as many other fantastic charity items donated by the community to raise money for wounded veterans.

Soldier's Heart (2019) is a post-Civil War film about John, played by Thomas Clay Strickland, a soldier who has recently returned from the Civil War. John is unable to fully come home because of the mental and emotional wounds he has suffered during battle. Not understanding the way he feels and the thoughts he is having, he sets up a camp on his property in an attempt to continue living as a soldier. His daughter Sarah, played by Merrik Foune, who wants her father back, tries to find a way to help John return home. Seeking guidance from her grandmother, played by Sheril Rodgers, she attempts to build a relationship with her suffering father.

Moon Rabbit Media’s director Seth F. Johnson and producer Emily Croke alongside our lead actress Merrik Foune sit down with Ed Ciucevich of Savannah on Film, WRUU 107.5 FM Savannah to discuss our upcoming short film Soldier’s Heart (2019).

We discuss the concept behind Soldier’s Heart, what the filmmaking process was like, and Moon Rabbit Media’s future projects. This was a very fun interview and we had a few gifts for Ed as it was the one year anniversary of Savannah on Film.

Soldier’s Heart (2019) will be screening on Sunday, June 23rd at 6:30 PM at the Tybee Island Post Theater. 10 Van Horne Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328.

Check out the images from this Harper's Bazaar photoshoot - Alicia Vikander Leaps to New Heights—in Life and Fashion. Jumping over from film into the world of editorial fashion is always fun. This shoot was with celebrity photographer Mariano Vivanco. Vivanco was incredible to work with and truly is a master. We did this entire shoot in Forsyth Park here in Savannah, Georgia. Here’s the first official poster for Soldier’s Heart (2019) Moon Rabbit Media’s upcoming short film about Post traumatic stress disorder set in the post-Civil War south.

The film stars Thomas Clay Strickland, Merrik Foune, Sheril Rodgers, Victoria Fraunberger, and Jared M. Reeder. The film is directed Seth F. Johnson, produced by Emily Croke & Michael Anthony Brown, and was written by Karin Johnson, Darby Abraham.

When creating this poster we took inspiration from still photographer Kimberly French’s work on The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Having always been very fond of the unit stills from that film, we took direct influence from its key art and poster.
