Pine Grove Vixen - Official Poster

We are very excited to finally release the official poster for Moon Rabbit Media’s Pine Grove Vixen directed by Seth F. Johnson. Hundreds of hours went into designing this poster and we could not be more pleased with how it turned out!

After it was all finished we surprised our Executive Producers Randy and Shannon Bocook as well as lead actress Merrik Foune with a steel print from Art Beat Studios of the poster to hang in their home!

A huge thank you to Justin Kamstra whose amazing unit stills are featured on the poster, we could not have done it without you dude!

The poster features Merrik Foune as the Forest Vixen, David Kallaway as Russell Dubios, and Frank Monteleone as Trip Wallace.

Pine Grove Vixen is an upcoming prequel short to Moon Rabbit Media’s feature film In The Pines which is currently seeking financing.

Pine Grove Vixen - An In The Pines, Prequel Short - Promo Stills 2

Here are several promo stills from Moon Rabbit Media’s upcoming short film Pine Grove Vixen.

Pine Grove Vixen, directed by Seth F. Johnson, is a prequel short to Moon Rabbit Media’s supernatural thriller In the Pines and sets the backstory of the feature into motion. Russell Dubois (David Kallaway), an avid bowhunter, is following a blood trail deep into the pine groves of south Georgia when he encounters a tracker and fellow bowhunter Trip Wallace (Frank Monteleone). Trip, a peculiar man, has been accidentally tracking Russell and the prey Russell has just shot. To Russell’s annoyance, Trip inserts himself into the situation and offers to help him. As the two men move through the woods, a series of mysterious things happen and the weather worsens. Caught in the rain and now losing light, Trip becomes nervous about his new hunting partner and what Russell may have been doing before they met. Just as night is about to fall, the men discover a foxhole at the base of a giant pine tree where they are forced to set up camp. The men deal with the miserable situation by drinking their way through several flasks of whiskey and the relationship between them improves. They start throwing a hatchet at the giant tree to scare the fox out, but this only makes their situation worse, when the Forest Vixen (Merrik Foune) decides to make her presence known and it quickly becomes apparent that she is the one doing the hunting.

Pine Grove Vixen - An In The Pines, Prequel Short - Promo Stills

Back in June Moon Rabbit Media had the opportunity to shoot Pine Grove Vixen which is a direct prequel short for our feature film titled In The Pines and lays the foundation of that narrative.

Pine Grove Vixen is about two bowhunters who follow a blood trail deep into the pine forests of south Georgia and encounter a force out of their control, only to discover the prey they’re tracking might not be the only thing being hunted.

We are currently in post-production on this short film and are very excited for its release. This short will serve as a direct visual representation of the feature and is a fantastic way to showcase our vision.

At Moon Rabbit Media we really enjoy a challenge.

Moon Rabbit Media just wrapped on a fantastic beauty shoot here in Savannah, GA.

Shooting beauty comes with its own set of challenges, which made this a very interesting and technical shoot. Not only did we have to make sure our model looked great and had perfectly lit skin, we also had to make sure the footage we produced was 100 percent color accurate and would match up perfectly with the corresponding shades and products.

At Moon Rabbit Media we really enjoy a challenge, so this was a very exciting day for us!

Here are some stills of our crew members: Director Seth F. Johnson, Producer Scott Johnson, Gaffer Kody Cunningham, and Script Supervisor Colleen E. Jones.

Industrial Video - Week long shoot in Savannah, GA

The Moon Rabbit Media team was out on location in Savannah, GA all last week shooting industrial videos for one of our amazing clients! We had a very exciting week shooting stuff with our cameras, drones, and even doing facility walkthroughs with the DJI Ronin SC. Then we mixed it up and did some lifestyle shoots for the client with some very talented local models.

The Moon Rabbit Media team brings strong energy and enthusiasm to every shoot that we do. We are always aiming to please our clients. We keep a running dialogue with the clients on set so they know exactly what is going on throughout the shooting day. We regularly check in with the client for feedback making sure that we are capturing exactly what they want, that way when we get in the editing room we have all the necessary footage to make the perfect film for them!
